Needed :Respect with a small "r".

I am no supporter of George Galloway, but he has issued a wake-up call and has shown that our parliamentary democracy is in deep crisis. He is worth listening to here on the alienation of the electorate and especially of the young, who are too often non-voters. Unless the main parties (and Labour in particular) take his warning on board, then we are likely to see minor and perhaps newly scambled-together parties making a break-through onto the centre of the political stage - including UKIP and the BNP. Democracies become a sham, unless there is a degree of mutual respect between parliament and the electorate. We, therefore, need to build respect, with a small "r".

Bradford tells us much about the journey of the Labour Party, from Keir Hardie and the formation of the Independent Labour Party in 1893 up to George Galloway today.
